Longtime YTB Directors Ron and Phyllis Bush have resigned from YTB citing health and finances and the need to provide for their families. One has to wonder why a director (from at least 2005) would cite financial issues as a reason to leave YTB. And while I wish good health on everyone, I was under the impression that YTB provided company paid health insurance for all of their Directors.
In a letter to their team, the Bushes say:
It's with a sense of sadness and anticipation that we send our final "Soaring with H.O.P.E." message. The letter submitted to YTB is below: (Click to enlarge, address redacted by this blog)
Sadness because we have reached a crossroad in our lives where we must make changes, and in doing so, it could impact the relationships we have built over the past 4 1/2 years.
We have come to a place where we must move on from YTB. We submitted our Letter of Resignation to Coach, Scott and Kim, effective March 19, 2009.
The current economy, coupled with financial issues, has made it necessary for us to reach this decision. Just know that we left on good terms and at our pleasure.
We thank each of you for your friendship, love and partnership, and wish you much success as you continue to pursue your goals and dreams. YTB has blessed us tremendously over the past 4 years, and we'll be forever grateful. One of the greatest assets of being in YTB has been the wonderful relationships that have blossomed, and which we hope will continue.
We are excited as we take our next step in a new direction. We solicit your prayers as we forge forward, and know that you too are in our prayers. Please "Spread the Word" to your respective team members.
Much love,
Ron & Phyllis
